APsystems Marks 15th Anniversary With Expanded Microinverter and Storage Lineup at Intersolar
Maxime Boiron, Global Marketing Director at APsystems, walks through the company's booth at The smarter E Europe 2025 (Intersolar Europe) in Munich for the firm's 15th anniversary. He covers the microinverter portfolio, residential and C&I storage ecosystem, the EZ1 balcony system, and a newly introduced BIPV product line.
Microinverter Range Expands With Quad Platforms
According to Maxime Boiron, Global Marketing Director at APsystems, the company's German-market lineup includes a full single-phase multi-module microinverter portfolio alongside a new quad-microinverter platform for connecting higher-power modules. The single-phase version is rated at 2.2 kW output, and a three-phase quad version is also part of the platform, he says. The additions extend the microinverter family beyond the original dual-module design. Boiron frames the expanded lineup as central to APsystems' 15th anniversary showing at Intersolar Europe 2025. The quad platforms, he says, are built specifically to pair with higher-wattage modules now entering the German residential and commercial markets, as module manufacturers push power classes higher.

Storage Ecosystem Spans Residential to Utility Scale
Boiron describes a residential storage ecosystem built for the German market: a single-phase 5 kW inverter paired with a 6 kWh battery tower, and a three-phase version using 3 kW and 6 kW charger units. The system is designed to maximize self-consumption and provide backup power, he says, including full off-grid operation. For commercial and industrial projects, per Boiron, APsystems offers liquid-cooled energy storage scaling from 50 kWh up to 1,000 kWh. He calls this a booming market for multi-megawatt projects. The C&I range sits alongside the residential ecosystem as part of the same storage strategy.

Balcony Solar Gains Battery Backup, BIPV Enters Lineup
The EZ1 balcony microinverter system remains popular in Germany, Boiron says, and the new EZHI hybrid microinverter adds storage on top of it. Connecting to modules up to 600 W, the EZHI works with battery systems to maximize in-house consumption and, per Boiron, can run off-grid for roughly a week of camping-style use. APsystems is also introducing a BIPV solution developed with a partner company, Boiron notes, covering roof, greenhouse, and carport applications. The product line integrates power generation with waterproofing and structural design, he says, instead of adding BIPV afterward as an accessory.

Frequently asked questions
What microinverter options does APsystems offer for the German market?
Boiron says APsystems provides a full single-phase multi-module microinverter portfolio for Germany, plus a new quad-microinverter platform for higher-power modules, with a 2.2 kW single-phase version and a three-phase version.
What does APsystems' residential storage ecosystem include?
The residential system pairs a single-phase 5 kW inverter with a 6 kWh battery tower, or a three-phase setup using 3 kW and 6 kW chargers. According to Boiron, it targets self-consumption maximization plus backup, including off-grid operation.
Does APsystems offer storage for commercial and industrial projects?
Yes. Boiron points to a liquid-cooled energy storage range scaling from 50 kWh up to 1,000 kWh, aimed at what he calls a booming market for multi-megawatt projects.
What is new about the EZHI hybrid microinverter?
The EZHI adds battery storage on top of APsystems’ EZ1 balcony platform, connecting to modules up to 600 W. Boiron says it can run off-grid for about a week, similar to camping-style use.
Why is the EZ1 balcony system significant in Germany?
Boiron describes the EZ1 as a very popular balcony solar solution already in the German market, making it the base platform onto which the new EZHI storage capability is added.
What BIPV products is APsystems introducing?
APsystems is launching a BIPV line developed with a partner company, covering roof, greenhouse, and carport applications. Per Boiron, the design integrates power generation with waterproofing and structural elements rather than treating BIPV as an accessory.
