Evolving European Energy Storage Market Dynamics

Bryan Liu, CEO and Founder of Zendure, identifies ongoing growth in the European energy storage sector, particularly within grid-scale applications. He notes that while residential rooftop PV installations are experiencing a slowdown, the market for plug-and-play micro-storage systems for balconies is expanding significantly. According to Liu, this trend highlights a shift towards more accessible and modular energy solutions for consumers. Zendure has positioned itself to address this demand by providing specific plug-and-play storage systems designed for balcony PV installations.

"We also see a lot of growth in the plug and play, uh, micro storage system for balcony solutions." Liu · 01:00

Zendure's Innovation in Accessible PV Storage

Since its founding in 2017, Zendure has focused on democratizing PV technology, aiming to make affordable and clean energy available to a wider audience, as stated by Bryan Liu. The company was the first to launch a plug-and-play storage system for balcony PV with its Solar Hub in 2023. Building on this foundation, Zendure is introducing new AI-enabled plug-and-play storage systems this year, including the SolarFlow 800 Pro and SolarFlow 2400 AC. Liu highlights these products as further steps to enhance ease of use and expand system capabilities.

"We always want to democratize the PV technology to enable people to have affordable and, uh, you know, clean energy." Liu · 01:29

German Market Strategy and Partnership Needs

Bryan Liu explains that Zendure's SolarFlow 2400 AC system, with its 2,400 AC output, requires a "light installation" in Germany, differentiating it from a purely plug-and-play solution in that market. In contrast, it remains a plug-and-play system in other countries like France. Due to this regulatory distinction, Zendure is actively seeking installation partners in Germany to facilitate the deployment of the SolarFlow 2400 AC system. Liu emphasizes this as a key strategic step for market penetration in the region.

"So in Germany we're looking for partners to install this system." Liu · 03:13

Hi everyone. This is SAE from EOPD research live from the smarter E 2025 here in Munich. I'm joined by Brian Lu, CEO of Zendo, and today we're gonna have a little chat about the energy storage market in Europe. And so Nice to meet you too. Thank you so much for taking the time. Give us your thoughts on the storage market in Europe. Okay. Um, I think it's still growing as we can see from the stats, uh, that, you know, it grew, uh, by a certain percentage in Europe and also driving by different factors like, uh, especially we've seen growth, especially in the grid scale storage. Um, for the ratio residential part, I think it's owing down, uh, you know, because of the, um, solar installation on the rooftop is actually also slowing down. Um, but we also see a lot of growth in the plug and play, uh, micro storage system for balcony solutions, uh, as, uh, because like, like zen endures solution. Yeah. Yeah. That's where we are the best at. Yeah. Yeah's where you come in as a solution provider, right? Yeah. Actually we are the first one to enter, uh, to provide the plug and play storage system for balcony storage system, uh, balcony pv. Yeah. So is that your USP? Is that what you offer the market? How, how can people benefit from zendo systems? Yeah. We always want to democratize the PV technology to enable people to have affordable and, uh, you know, clean energy. Mm-hmm. And so in back in 2023, we, we were the first one to launch the SolarFlow Hub, which, uh, help people who already have a ba balcony PV to have storage. Mm-hmm. We, the first one to launch that, and last year we launched Hyper 2000, and this year we're launching two other, uh, systems. We've further enables them to e uh, e use the system more easily Yeah. With the, with artificial intelligence. So it's safe to say while you are a comparably young company, you're still already a pioneer in some areas, right? Yeah. Um, we are very, very young. Uh, so we started in 2017. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Um, but in, in this sector we have been, uh, doing, uh, this for three years. Oh wow. Okay. Yeah. So tell us what are the next steps for Zendo? Uh, we'll continue to innovate as, um, we we're been leading the innovation for the plug and play storage system for three years. And, uh, we're the first one to this year to launch the, uh, AI enabled plug and play, uh, in storage system. Mm-hmm. The SolarFlow 800 Pro and the SolarFlow 2400 AC. Mm-hmm. And the second, uh, product is, uh, especially very good for, uh, installers because, uh, it has four thou 2,400, uh, AC output, which needs a little bit, a little bit, uh, light installation. Yeah, true. Yeah. It's, it is no longer plug and play in, uh, Germany, but uh, it's still plug and play in some other countries like France. Yeah. So in Germany we're looking for partners to install this system. Yeah. Yeah. See you hear it. Her first, Brian has laid out some appetizers. Tell us where can we find more information on Zendo and the products? Yeah, you can find, find out our brand on Zendo, do de our German website. And also on LinkedIn. Yeah. Great.
